About Block Drop

Block Drop is a falling-tetromino puzzle in the lineage of the 1984 original by Alexey Pajitnov — seven shapes drop from the top, you rotate and slide them to fill complete rows, full rows clear and your score goes up. The speed rises with each level so the game gets harder the better you do.

Pondernook Block Drop runs entirely in your browser. Keyboard (arrows) on desktop, on-screen d-pad or swipe on mobile. No install, no signup. Scoring follows the classic table — singles, doubles, triples and tetris (four lines at once) — multiplied by your current level. The "next piece" preview lets you plan two moves ahead, which is where the strategy really starts.

Frequently asked questions

How does scoring work?

Clearing one to four rows at once — a single, double, triple, or four-line “tetris” — scores progressively more, multiplied by your current level.

Does the game get faster?

Yes. Pieces fall faster with each level, so the game gets harder the longer you survive and the more lines you clear.

Can I see the next piece?

Yes — a next-piece preview lets you plan a move or two ahead, which is where the real strategy begins.
